Dr. Nian Liu is an Associate Professor in the School of Life Sciences at Tsinghua University. He received his B.S. from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2010 and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Chicago in 2015. From 2015 to 2019, he conducted postdoctoral research at Stanford University, where he began studying transposons. Since joining Tsinghua in 2019, his laboratory has focused on the regulation and function of human transposons, with support from national and regional research programs. His work has been recognized by the Chinese Society for Cell Biology Young Scientist Award, the Benyuan Fund Young Investigator Exploration Fellowship, and the Outstanding Youth in Beijing award.
